I can remember that, not long ago, London was the place to go for the latest developments in web-based technology. But, that’s no longer the case. With spiralling costs, London is now the most expensive place in the world to have office space.
It’s time to look elsewhere.
Following Mark Carney’s speech naming the East Midlands as the “bellwether of the economic recovery”, it’s time to shine the spotlight on Newark and show the world some of the quality technology companies operating in the area.
The 4th November 2014 will see the inaugural Silicon Forest round-table meeting. The meeting will consist of various businesses from in and around the Newark area, which specialise in digital technology. Along with the Newark and Sherwood District Council, the businesses will discuss ideas on how best to promote Newark as the epicentre of web-based technologies, a ‘tech town.’
