Reconnix at the Newark Apprenticeship Fair.

Young people from Newark and the surrounding areas attended the Newark Apprenticeship Fair, yesterday. They took full advantage of the opportunity to speak to various companies.

In a continued effort to support National Apprenticeship Week, Reconnix had a stall there, too, and what a great experience it was!

School pupils, college students, and young adults, attended the Newark and Sherwood District Council event.

Rory Doherty, explaining the value of an apprenticeship with Reconnix.

Rory Doherty, an apprentice at Reconnix, also attended the event. However, he got to see the event from a different angle. Rory said:

As an apprentice it was very interesting to see how it works from an employers point of view and to see others going through what I went through when looking for my placement. I was able to relate to the people interested in an apprenticeship here at Reconnix and could explain exactly the sort of things they could expect. It was a great experience for me and I learned a great deal. And I hope the people I spoke to learned a lot, too. I urge anyone who’s weighing their options to really consider an apprenticeship role.

It was great to see so many enthusiastic faces at the event. All the people that came to our stall for a chat were keen to find out more. We at Reconnix hope that the enthusiasm continues.
